I am pleased to announce a fitting tribute and memorial to our belated and much loved friend and servant Father Dennis Moffatt, reposed in the Lord 25th September 2010.

It has just come to my attention that the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, for whom Fr Dennis was a long standing and hard working member, including being chairman of the volunteer group at Denaby Ings Nature Reserve, recently renamed a wild flower meadow at the reserve in his honour.
Members of Fr Dennis's family along with some of his former fellow volunteers (see below) turned out on a chilly day back in January for the official naming of Moffatt’s Meadow at Denaby Ings nature reserve. A plaque dedicating the meadow to the memory of Fr Dennis, which can just about be seen in the middle of the photo just behind the group, is also reproduced below, both photos courtesy of Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s Volunteer Bulletin for February 2011.
