Subscribe to RSS FeedJust as the sun's rays are sometimes hidden from the earth by thick cloud, so for a while a person may be deprived of spiritual comfort and of grace's brightness. This is caused by the cloud of the passions. Then, all of a sudden, without that person being aware, it is all given back. Just as the surface of the earth rejoices at the rays of the sun when they break through the clouds, so the words of prayer are able to break through to drive the thick cloud of the passions away from the soul.

Our Church Garden

Grateful thanks to Ray for our wonderful new garden: -
Ray (I'm sorry, I don't know his surname) has donated all the flowers for the garden, having grown them all in his own green house at his home nearby church. He even hauled from his garden all the stone he used to make the raised areas.
With the help of a few of his friends, Ray has also cut all the hedges around the church making it look really marvellous.
He has done a sterling job on the grounds this year for which all at church are truly grateful.
